Most of any embedded systems are reactive. The system changes as a reaction on some events. Like pressing a button on a coffee machine makes it brew your cup of coffee. We love event driven systems and model and implement everything using hierachical state machines (HSM). We believe that not everything requires massive multithreading and we know how to handle and separate hard- and soft-real-time constraints. We also hate testing and debugging too complex systems (with even more complex mockups), so that is why we keep it simple.

How do I make my analogue infrastructure controllable, how do I integrate payment functions and how can I store and process data centrally? We have made various analogue infrastructures digitally controllable with slight modifications. Together with Bosch, for example, we have designed a rental box that allows tools to be opened, paid for and returned independently via a web application. The entire infrastructure does not necessarily have to be replaced for this. Depending on the intended use, existing locks can be upgraded at low cost.
